- We teach the three R’s all year: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Ready during the different parts of the day (arrival/dismissal, hallways, bathrooms, classrooms, cafeteria, recess, gym). We have PBIS Assemblies and PBIS Booster Assemblies throughout the year and PBIS incentive-based after school events.
- Students receive Mighty Mustang Bucks for modeling PBIS behavior. They can use Mustang Bucks to buy things in class or at the Mustang Store. Students can also use Mustang Bucks to purchase entry into our PBIS events such as movie nights or game nights held after school.
- We also have adopted a school-wide anti-bullying strategy called SWAT which includes a word and a hand-signal that students use when they feel unsafe. This is taught and re-taught in all classrooms and reinforced during PBIS Booster assemblies.
- We recite the Mighty Mustang Pledge, which was created by students, every morning during video announcements.
