PBIS Scavenger Hunt & Winter Assembly

The Mighty Mustangs began their first week back after Winter break by participating in a Teaching Expectations Scavenger hunt. Behavior expectations for the hallways/stairwells, bathrooms, and arrival/dismissal were reviewed and modeled. Staff members placed stickers on the class PBIS Matrix for classes that demonstrated appropriate behavior expectations. At the end of the day, classes that obtained stickers for all areas were entered into a raffle. The winning classes were:

• Kindergarten – Mrs. Fernandez
• 1^st Grade – Mrs. Castillo
• 2^nd Grade – Mrs. Kabat
• 3^rd Grade – Mrs. Kuttenberg
• 5^th Grade – Mrs. Foltz

Additionally, the Mighty Mustangs attended a PBIS Assembly to connect the Second Step Program that students have covered in the classroom. Students had fun demonstrating their dance moves from the various songs that tie into the school’s behavior expectations.
